Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill is a casual dining restaurant that combines great tasting barbecue with an energetic sports bar. The décor is rustic mountain lodge casual. The story of Smokey Bones goes back to 1968 when a rugged young iron worker named Duke hand-built a new kind of BBQ smoker from an old section of the rocky mountain pipeline. For some reason that old smoker produced some of the best tasting, most succulent, deep smoked BBQ that anyone had ever eaten. Or it could have been that everyone always had such a good time at Duke’s barbecues that the good just seemed to taste so good. Either way, the legend was born. Duke’s way of making everyone a friend, his appreciation for the High country and his abiding love for sports of any kind have all come together in this place called Smokey Bones.
